Vulnerability & Adaptation Framework for Dry land + Savanna Ecosystem’s

Working with the African Conservation Centre, the Ecosystem Services team worked to develop a Vulnerability & Adaptation Framework for Dry land/Savanna Ecosystem Processes and Services. The development of this framework outlined five major components driving its implementation. The components were: compiling the existing knowledge base; stakeholder impact assessment; mapping community perceptions on vulnerability; land use/land cover change mapping; and vulnerability index for ranking landscape/dry land areas.

The project aimed to generate and synthesize information for better understanding of the vulnerability of the southern Kenyan landscapes.
