Ecosystem Services were selected by the UNDP to provide technical advice to Niue’s ‘Ridge to Reef’ project aimed at enhancing Niue’s capacity to effectively create and manage community-protected areas for biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, and safeguarding of ecosystem services.

Ecosystem Services worked with the Niue-based team as well as the communities in Niue to advise on the development of Protected Areas (PAs) as well as being responsible for the development of the management plans for 13 terrestrial community conservation areas.
