Pacific Ecosystem-based Adaptation

Pacific Ecosystem-based Adaptation to Climate Change Project (PEBACC) focused on Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA). The project’s aim was to integrate EbA into development, climate change adaptation, as well as, natural resource management policy and planning processes in three Pacific Island countries, thus providing replicable models for other countries in the region. This was successfully demonstrated through implementation at national, provincial and local levels.  The work done focused on Vanuatu, where activities undertaken included protected area establishment, riparian restoration and food security through urban gardening.
